‘Fully-kitted’ Himalayan 450 adventure bike offered in lucky draw to raise INR 10 lakh
The next generation of chefs has something to look forward to. A special scholarship fund as part of the Chefs Day (India) 2024campaign is now active. It will pay some part of the education fees of those current culinary students, identified as highly motivated, hard-working and dedicated to a culinary career, but unfortunately financially weak. In addition, the recipients will also receive high-level mentorship, internship and job placements.
CHEF SPECIAL ADVENTURE BIKE
Funds for the scholarship are being raised in an exciting way. A ‘Chefs Special’ Himalayan 450 adventure motorcycle, worth INR 3.5 lakh, fully kitted with top level gear and in a custom livery, is being offered as the prize in a lucky draw. The target is at least INR 10 lakh. At a very affordable INR 250/- per coupon, the opportunity is available to all to join in and win this one-of-a-kind vehicle.

The motorcycle is sponsored by Chef Tours, part of Ghoorbo Travels LLP. It is a touring company for professional culinarians, based in India.

SHARING IS CARING
“This is without doubt, the most important aspect of our campaign this year. Chefs Day is about sharing and caring for your colleagues and communities. What better way to demonstrate than to protect and support the youngest and most vulnerable of our profession. The scholarships are a perfect example of our two slogans #CHEFSTOGETHER and #EVERYCHEFMATTERS. We encourage everyone in hospitality to join in because the target amount is not too big to achieve for a large country, but the impact will be immense and positive,” said Alan DMello, founder, X Events Hospitality.
Applications for this year’s Chefs Day scholarship will open soon. The recipients are expected to be announced in February 2025. The lucky draw announcement is currently scheduled for New Year’s Day 2025. However, in case the scholarship fund target of INR 10 lakh is not reached, it will be withheld until it is reached.
